For some, the thought of stowing the Halloween decorations and going full-on 'Santa and snowflakes mode' is just too much. They need more transition time. Don't fret, the terror isn't gone yet − we're sharing some of our scarier fall campaigns, and Mr. Grinch himself for those cringing at holiday music (too soon, too soon)!

There's nothing we love more than the creative geniuses that display their art on our billboards across the country. Check them out in these unskippable campaigns.

Oh, this house...haunting us long after All Hallow's Eve...

Times Square went from scary to snarky to launch Universal Studio's holiday blockbuster, The Grinch. Showcasing the Grinch’s sarcastic wit, the campaign copy played off his surroundings with, "This place could use a few more billboards" in the center of one of the most well-lit landscapes in America!

This sarcastic jab directed towards Broadway buffs was perfectly situated right across from the TKTS booth:

And, Hey You...Yes, NYC Taxi Driver, this one's for you:

In LA, an optimistic and unsolicited, "Of course, you'll make it as an actor" retort was posted along Sunset Boulevard.

But before the green, the tinsel and the turkey, come the holiday trots and the Marathons. Below, thousands of Chicago runners got a boost of adrenaline from Nike with this prominently displayed wallscape along the route: "Best in the country? Great. 194 countries to go." That'll keep 'em running!

In Dallas, a wallscape (one of the largest in the region) was used to showcase a mural of Mavericks' Baller Dennis Smith Jr.—with a twist. It is the largest augmented reality installment on the Facebook platform, created just in time for the Dallas Mavericks home opener. Fans were driven to visit Mavs.com/AR to access the Facebook filter, and once the AR experience was activated Smith came to life for a slam dunk! Watch the video:
